Häfele UK turns 40

In these uncertain times, we appreciate every reason we have to be cheerful. April 2020, marks Häfele UK’s 40th birthday. We couldn’t miss this opportunity to mark this milestone with you. After all, it’s the people – and of course our customers – that make Häfele all that it is. To find out more about who we are click here.

A little history

Häfele was formed in Germany and is now a fourth-generation family run business. Häfele UK was also set up by a family. Today we celebrate the formation of the company when Mike and Sue set up premises in Butler’s Leap, Rugby in 1980. We still have colleagues working with us today who remember the move. The business was set up to ensure that anyone connecting furniture and kitchens together could get everything they need, when they need it, values we still hold dear in our hearts today. 

Our People

Today, there are over 400 of us in the Häfele UK team, with a collective 4475 years’ worth of experience in our industry, with many of us previously being Häfele customers ourselves. This means that we can advise on the best solutions for your requirements from our 25,000 in stock products, as well as offer you services that have been designed to benefit your business. We cannot thank you enough for all of the support you have given Häfele over the years. We recognise the fact that without our loyal customers we would not be the company we are today. We have many customers who have been with us over our 40-year history, some of whom we got to meet in person at kbb. Where is our focus?

Häfele is always thinking ahead; making spaces more valuable by connecting people, ideas and designs together. We constantly search the world for products and connect you to them, so you can create beautiful furniture or inspiring rooms. We strive to connect manufacturers with the most, effective products and services from Häfele and other leading suppliers across the globe; we help consumers connect with local furniture suppliers; we build strong connections between the trade and industry bodies; and we connect the next generation with training, helping to secure a brighter future for the whole industry. We also know that if we focus on our customers, we can all get through this difficult time together.

So, what's next?

With our physical birthday parties and events cancelled, our anniversary year is panning out quite differently to the one we had planned. Our focus now, is on making sure everyone working for the front line is fully supported.  However, we want to take this moment to thank you sincerely. We appreciate your support more than we can express, and hopefully we will be able to celebrate the Häfele Group’s 100-year celebration in 2023 together.
