Joining Our Studio Partner Regal Kitchens to Host a Student Workshop

Last month, we were delighted to team up with our Chelmsford-based Studio Partner Regal Kitchens and German manufacturer Vauth Sagel to offer a kitchen design workshop for Southend University’s Interior Design students.

The event was held to give the Interior Design students an insight into kitchen design, to help them decide whether to specialise in the field. It took place at Regal Kitchens’ Chelmsford showroom.  

Experts from both Häfele and Vauth Sagel were there to give design talks about making the most of available kitchen space and the space-saving solutions in the kitchen. The students were then challenged to design a kitchen incorporating some of the storage solutions they had viewed, with the best design being picked by the experts at the end of the day.

The workshop allowed the students to talk to kitchen design experts about the different aspects of kitchen design and by coming down to the studio, they got to explore a range of different products first hand and think about how to incorporate them into the kitchen.

Emma Mcloughlin from Regal Kitchens told us “We try and organise an event every six months for the students to learn about kitchen design. Having talks from Häfele and Vauth Sagel was a great way to demonstrate to the students the supply chain involved here at Regal Kitchens.”
