JELD-WEN and Häfele UK join forces for Sarah Beeny project

JELD-WEN, the UK's leading supplier of timber windows and doors and Häfele UK have teamed up to deliver their product expertise to Rise Hall - the stately home of celebrity renovation specialist Sarah Beeny.

Sarah Beeny, who fronts Channel 4's prime time show Double Your House for Half the Money, is renowned for her expertise in renovating properties and advising homeowners on the latest trends that can enhance a home's appearance. Having acquired Grade II listed Rise Hall 12 years ago, Channel 4 viewers followed Sarah's own ambitious restoration project in Beeny's Restorations Nightmare, which charted its transformation from derelict building to luxury events venue.

Now a flourishing premium events and wedding venue, the Rise Hall team approached JELD-WEN and Häfele UK to provide the fire doors and ironmongery that would offer a beautiful finish to the property’s luxury bedrooms while also offering the highest fire safety specification.

JELD-WEN's Arlington six panel smooth finish FD30 fire door was selected for its aesthetic appeal and BWF-CERTIFIRE compliance, which means it adheres to the highest safety standards and offers 30 minutes of fire resistance without the need for a wider door frame. JELD-WEN also provided a selection of bespoke doors, specifically designed to fit into the property's existing door frames. Häfele UK supplied the complementary ironmongery, including hinges, door closers, locks, handles, fire seals, fire door signs and door stops. In keeping with Rise Hall's Grade II listed status, Häfele UK provided polished brass ironmongery to complement the property’s heritage and period look.

Lucy Woodhead, communications manager at JELD-WEN, said: "We were so pleased to work with Sarah Beeny and the team at Rise Hall. JELD-WEN's FD30 range is one of our most popular lines owing to its versatility and unparalleled fire safety advantage. It's so important that properties such as Rise Hall reach the latest regulatory requirements and we were happy to ensure that guests will have a safe and enjoyable stay."

Rachel Willcock, marketing communications manager at Häfele UK, said: "Our extensive selection of architectural ironmongery means that there's always something to complement even the most challenging of renovation projects. Our fire safety products are also available in various designs so it was great that we were able to find the perfect match for Rise Hall. Fire safety is so important and we are pleased to have brought our expertise to such a unique property."

Sarah Beeny said: "Rise Hall is such an iconic, beautiful building. It's been a huge challenge to reach this point but it's exciting to be recognised as a luxury events venue on both a national and international level. Attention to detail is paramount in offering our guests the most comfortable stay and we recognised that JELD-WEN and Häfele UK shared our vision in bringing a quality, premium finish to Rise Hall. They've both been superb partners to work with and we won't hesitate to use their products and expertise for future renovation projects."
