Meet the Team: Andy Capel

Project Sales & Development Advisor

Having worked for Häfele for 15 years, Andy is a resident specification expert within the Häfele Projects Team. With a strong background in Ironmongery, Andy was recruited to the team to bring expertise and knowledge to the role, and has been doing just this ever since – despite often being an unsuspecting victim of Adrian & Kyra’s practical joking.

Andy is motivated by the satisfaction he feels from playing a part in helping to create interesting and useful buildings. He says: “To be able to say “we did that one” and be associated with such fantastic projects is always a proud feeling for me. Especially if we have helped to provide innovative building solutions to overcome the challenges along the way.”

Andy works closely with Architects, Designers and Contractors, and is well-equipped to provide a one-stop-shop service throughout a project’s timeline. Outside of work, Andy can be found fanatically watching any number of sports, cranking up some 60s & 70s music, and enjoying the outdoors with his family.

Andy’s talent comes from years of learning and developing his skills, although he is quick to remind us that it’s not that many years. Earning his diploma in Architectural Ironmongery in 2006, Andy has shown outstanding dedication to the Häfele projects team, and has been instrumental in creating the successful team from the ground up. Andy has also played a part in mentoring Kyra throughout her studies, and gets great satisfaction from sharing his knowledge and experience to help others develop – plus the more they pick up, the more he can check Sky Sports, right?"
