Häfele Donate Over £30,000 to Charity in 2017 and Announce 2018 Charity Partner

Over £23,000 Donated to When You Wish Upon A Star

2017 was a fantastic year for Charity at Häfele UK. In December, we reported that we were able to make wishes come true at Christmas by sending 22 children with life threatening illnesses to Lapland, through our fundraising for 2017 Charity Partner, When You Wish Upon A Star. We are pleased to say that by the end of 2017, we donated over £23,000 to this incredible charity.

Nearly £7,000 Donated to Worthy Charities

As well as supporting our Charity Partners, Häfele UK also supports a number of additional charities throughout the year. In 2017, we donated a total of nearly £7,000 to very worthy charities. These include: Crohns & Colitis UK, Breast Cancer Care, the Royal British Legion, Action for Children, Rugby First Responders, and British Heart Foundation, plus many more.

Over £30,000 Donated to Charity Throughout 2017

The Häfele UK Charity Committee were able to donate over £30,000 to Charity thanks to a calendar full of fantastic fundraising events and activities throughout the year. Events included pub quizzes, cake sales, raffles, sponsored walks and runs, and sporting events such as golf days and football matches.

2018 Charity Partner: MacMillan Cancer Support

 

The Häfele UK Charity Partner for 2018 has been selected as MacMillan Cancer Support. This fantastic charity offers support, advice, listening ears to improve the lives of those living with cancer. The charity is made up of millions of individuals affected by cancer; volunteers, supporters, professionals and campaigners.

2018 Fundraising

Throughout 2018, the Häfele UK Charity Committee aim to continue the huge success of 2017 for charity fundraising, for MacMillan Cancer Support and additional charities, both regional and national. Activities are already well underway and cover internal raffles and sporting events, right through to members of the Häfele team taking part in the London Marathon.
