Häfele Suite of CPDs Approved by RIBA for Online Training

RIBA

RIBA has approved five of our CPD programmes for online use, to ensure architects looking to build on their industry knowledge during the pandemic and beyond can do so from home.

The range of CPD courses developed by our Projects 360 team have previously been delivered on-site for architects looking to upskill in a particular area of building design or product specification.

However, due to the pandemic reducing the number of teams working together in person, RIBA has opted to approve a number of previously offline courses specifically for online delivery

The five Häfele CPD courses that have now been approved by RIBA for online learning are:

  • Defining electronic access controls
  • Frameless glass fittings for door screens and canopies
  • Specifying architectural hardware for inclusive design
  • Specifying door ironmongery – a basic guide
  • The what, why and where of sliding door gear

You can head to our RIBA Product Search profile to access the CPDs. This hub of content also comprises a comprehensive suite of literature for remote learning, including technical downloads, case studies, BIM guides and a library of products approved by the NBS for use in project specification.

Paul Smith, Head of Specification Sales for Häfele UK, tells us: “Architects want to learn and develop as the industry changes, which is why we created these CPD courses in the first place; they were designed in line with feedback we were getting from architects about the areas they wanted to improve on.

“Normally these courses would be delivered to large groups, in offices all around the country. We were already considering delivering this content online due to the surge in e-learning, but as more people are working from home as a result of the pandemic, it’s become a vital move to make. It now means that those who want to continue achieving CPD points from home can do so easily and in line with their own schedule.

“Aside from the situation we currently find ourselves in, providing these courses online from RIBA makes continued learning a more accessible facility, something we hope will encourage even more architects and designers to take part.

“We are confident they will play a key role in ensuring the architecture industry can stay abreast of the new trends, products and services we see emerging that look set to shape our sector well into the future.”
