What’s New this Autumn in Finishes & Textures
In furniture design, it is often the smaller details such as handles that add the finishing touch to a project. This is a real opportunity for your customer to add their personal taste, completing a design style and bringing fluidity to a room setting.
Häfele have worked with leading manufacturers of decorative handles to introduce new styles and finishes to create a brand-new portfolio of modern, industrial and traditional style handles in a variety of designs.
Whether your project demands beautiful wooden detailing, an industrial edge, or elegant timeless finish, this new portfolio is here for you. The latest edition of What’s New from Häfele, the Autumn Edit, splits this portfolio into four themes to bring you the latest handles to keep your project up to date with the latest trends.
The first of these themes is Woodland, a style that encapsulates chunky exposed woods with traditional design to create an authentic atmosphere, ideal for projects that take inspiration from nature. Handles in the Woodland theme range from Pull statement handles, such as the Venus, to simple yet sophisticated knobs, such as the Apple.
Vintage Chic has also been identified as a style that is here to stay and is a trend that has been popular for some time now. Rising in popularity across all sectors, from residential re-design to commercial renovation, this style creates a statement reflective of a bygone era. Häfele have introduced a range of handles to create a luxurious finish with depth and texture. The exquisite detailing of the Texture pull makes this handle a highlight from the range, available in brass, copper or iron effect, and ideal for projects that require a distinctive statement finish.
Similarly, to Vintage Chic, Industrial finishes are not new to furniture design and have become well established as a go-to design approach. However, Industrial is a broad and ever-evolving style, continuously demanding new textures and finishes. Originally taking inspiration from old factories and first popular in the hospitality industry, Industrial is now popular sector-wide and can be adapted to be as prominent or subtle as the project demands. Our new range of Industrial handles reflect this broad style, from the sleek and unique Mayberry knob, to the bold and textured Rufus bow handle.
The fourth theme is Pewter; an aged finish that brings unique elegance, complete versatility and absolute quality to design. Pewter handles tell a tale as old as time and complement every kind of door, from front to back, whether wooden or painted. It is the depth of texture in Pewter that creates such a striking atmosphere, showcased perfectly in the Salvador furniture knob and Takara lever handles.
