Growth in Home Improvements

Many businesses saw a slow 2023 with many homeowners facing uncertainty in household expenditure due to rising interest rates, inflation and job insecurity in some sectors. However, our latest research shows a trend of homeowners looking to make improvements to their property over the next two years.

In addition, as moving house has become more costly and buying and selling has become increasingly difficult, more people are looking at ways to improve their current home. Overall, this equates to 46% of people surveyed planning some sort of home improvement between now and 2025. Find out more about helping clients add value to their current homes in our blog.

How Good Home Interior Design Can Help Navigate Kitchen Worries

These worries fall into five main areas, cost, partial upgrades, design confusion, and installer and product availabilities.

Research methodology

Why Functional Space is a Top Priority for Consumers

As part of our research, homeowners were asked what was most important to them when upgrading the heart of the home, the kitchen. Three things came out top, quality and longevity, budget and overall cost, and functionality and usability.

As we know, cost is a concern in the current financial climate, which means homeowners are actively looking for value-driven options that don’t compromise on quality. Many consumers are now placing a greater value on quality craftsmanship that will stand the test of time and look good for years to come, with functionality a top priority too. Homeowners are looking for kitchens that optimise the available space, allowing for everyday, multi-functional use. Find out more about creating functional kitchens for modern living in our blog.
