Measuring up:Timber can expand as much as 1 mm/mtr. Always allow a gap of at least 3 mm if for example, worktops are captive between walls
Tolerance is ±2 mm
Regular use of the care and maintenance kit should ensure shelves stay in good condition
Installation is relatively easy, for either a competent DIY enthusiast or recognised kitchen installer to carry out
No specialist tooling required. Can be cut using normal woodworking routers and blades
Timber shelves must not be installed in unoccupied premises
If timber shelves are to be stored prior to installation, they should always be stored at room temperature away from all sources of heat and moisture, on a sound level surface horizontally with a minimum of four timber battens equally spaced in between each worktop and on the floor
Never store in a garage or an unfinished building and always install within 7 days of delivery
Seal regularly in the first couple of weeks after installation to avoid the shelves drying out
